Pcdc Edgewood Farmers Market
FALLFEST, ARTS FAIRS AND VINTAGE DAYS COMING TO THE PCDC-EDGEWOOD FARMER'S MARKET! Activities for children, including clowns, face-painting and chalk drawing, will be featured Saturday, September 29, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the PCDC-Edgewood Farmer’s Market FALLFEST in Northeast, DC. There will also be performances, free exercise classes, giveaways and special offers from local businesses and many new vendors. The PCDC-Edgewood Farmer’s Market launched June 30 as a community-initiated effort to bring fresh fruits and vegetables and healthy lifestyle alternatives to communities that have few fresh food options and that have been designated as food deserts. The new market has had several weeks of continued growth and is enjoying enthusiastic support from many faithful patrons. In addition to the September 29 FALLFEST, ART AT THE MARKET, featuring local arts and crafts, will be held October 20 and October 27. And finally, Nov. 10 and Nov. 17, VINTAGE DAYS will be held, featuring community residents and vintage dealers who can sell or trade clothing, jewelry, household items, toys and furniture. Nov. 17 will also mark the end of the market season, with a “CROP DONE” Celebration. PCDC-Edgewood Farmer’s Market invites you to join them at their Fallfest this Saturday, September 29 for extended market hours until 3p.m. The market is located at the east end of the Rhode Island Shopping Center, 680 Rhode Island Avenue, in northeast D.C.
