Winter Haven Farmer's Market

Winter Haven is a community of more than 34,000 people, located in Central Florida between Tampa and Orlando. The area features gentle rolling hills of Polk County and 45 fresh-water lakes that touch, or are contained within Winter Haven. Twenty-four of the lakes are connected by a system of navigable canals better known as "The Chain of Lakes." Winter Haven is the home of LEGOLAND Florida, the newest LEGOLAND park. The main campus of the four-year Polk State College is also in Winter Haven. An exciting program is the Business Accelerator, developed by the Polk County Commission and Central Florida Development Council, that includes the Business Incubator, based in downtown Winter Haven. Through the incubator, new companies have access to business resources; a national research university (Florida Polytechnic University) with faculty experts; operational infrastructure, like office space, equipment and technology; technology consultants; and training programs. Nearby, visitors enjoy Historic Bok Sanctuary (Bok Tower Gardens) and Fantasy of Flight Air Museum... both just minutes away. Winter Haven is an excellent location to raise a family or to retire and enjoy a mild climate all year. With Disney World, Busch Gardens, SeaWorld and Universal Studios all within an hour's drive, it is a perfect "home base" for vacations, too.
