Hobart, Indiana, located in the Northwest corner of Indiana, was once the home of the Pottawatomie Indians. Along with the city parks, Hobart has an 150 acre lake located near the downtown area which provides for fishing and boating. Hobart has six public schools, several private schools, and a business college that provide an excellent education for our children and young adults. Hobart has a full time fire department with three fire stations located throughout the city. It has an ISO rating of 4/9. The city also has a police department with two stations providing protection to all the citizens of Hobart. Officers have take home cars providing a quick response in case of an emergency.
