Rockport Marketplace Farmers Market

Nestled in the heart of Midcoast Maine, State of Maine Cheese Company has been hand-crafting fine cheeses since 1983 using cow's milk from local farms. Our milk comes from farms associated with Oakhurst Dairy in Portland, Maine (our MOFGA certified organic milk comes from Haskell Farm Organic Meat and Dairy). Both dairies choose not to use artificial bovine growth hormone in their milk production. We are the home of the Rockport Marketplace where we carry many fine products made right here in Maine and beyond. On days that we are making cheese, customers can watch cheese being made in our production room. We also offer tours of our production area on days when we are not making cheese, but we ask that you please call ahead to arrange a time first. Our retail store hours are 9 am - 6 pm Monday-Saturday and Closed on Sunday
