Grow, Sell & Eat Local!

Our congregation is dedicated to missions... We support our Schoolcraft Food Pantry, The Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, Loaves and Fishes of Kalamazoo, Cedar Park Retirement Home, True Vine Equestrian Center, Saint Vincent DePaul's Thrift Center, Kairo's, Forgotten Man's Ministry, A Kalamazoo Christmas, Pet of Holland, WMU Wesley Foundation, United Methodist Community House, and South County Community Services. We also support small farmers in Peru, Mexico and Costa Rica as they build a better future for themselves and their families through our Fair-Trade Coffee, Tea and Chocolate Sales. We also supported our Missionary Paul Webster in Africa to continue his ministry by teaching the people better farming techniques enabling them to feed themselves and their families, saving lives in Africa with young children living longer by growing and harvesting nutritional foods for everyone. We helped with scholarships for promising students to serve Christ who struggle with resources through World Communion Sunday, One Great Hour of Sharing, helped build Bio Sand Filters for the Water Project in Haiti, sent over 60 blankets to those suffering from disasters with our Blanket Sunday Offering, helped children eat through Haiti Hot Lunch Program, through our Foods Resource Bank Ministry helped under-nourished people in Nicaragua feed themselves with dignity and pride. We sent Hats and Mittens to the Methodist Children's Home in Detroit and to Stockbridge Avenue United Methodist Church, helped in the Emergency Response to Japan, helped Racial Ethnic Local Churches in Michigan, our Sunday School has adopted a young girl from Africa giving hope to her and her family, through a successful Crop Walk we took a stand against hunger around the world and also helped South County Community Services provide assistance to people in our own neighborhood and also helped some of our own congregation families get through difficult times this year. God is truly alive and active in our church as is indicated in the above ministries. Faith without action is nothing. This is the "action" God speaks of in the Bible. Going out and reaching our neighbors all over the world. By joining together with other believers to do God's work, we increase Christian unity and help His kingdom grow.
