Newport Farmers' Market
The Newport Farmers’ Market has been operating since the 1990s on the Town Common in Historic Downtown Newport, New Hampshire. The market started with only a handful of vendors, and has grown to about 60 full- and part-time vendors as of 2011, making us one of the largest farmers’ markets in the state. Some of our longest term vendors are even from those early days of the farmers’ market. Our vendors sell everything from vegetables and fruits to baked goods to locally raised meat to preserved foods to goats’ milk soap and handmade crafts. We also sell prepared foods, such as hot dogs, kettle corn, lemonade, ice cream and pizza. All of our farm vendors grow their own vegetables, fruit, cut flowers and potted plants, raise their own animals for milk, eggs, fleece and meat, jar their own honey, boil their own maple syrup, and preserve their own produce in jams and pickles. Their farms are located within 50 miles of Newport, making all of their farms great sources of locally grown and raised food.
