Oneida County Public Market
Imagine a bustling marketplace of homegrown Central New York goods on a sunny afternoon. Well, that’s the vision of the new Oneida County Public Market, located in the heart of Downtown Utica. On Saturdays throughout the summer and into holiday season, this new gathering place will be a hub for the sale of fresh and unique products and a festival-like atmosphere of entertainment, art and family. The vision combines an active farmer’s market with the planned revitalization of the long-empty REA building, adjacent to Historic Union Station. Spearheaded by Oneida County with the support of Cornell Cooperative Extension and other stakeholders, the Public Market will be a jewel of potential and promise, as we celebrate our local economy and regional bounty.
