Downtown Cleveland Market At Public Square
Downtown Farmers Market takes place every Friday, 11am-2pm. Located on Public Square June through October and indoors at 5th Street Arcades (530 Euclid) all winter, this independent market brings locally grown and produced food to downtown residents and employees and also offers free monthly cooking classes hosted by area chefs at Old Stone Church. A member of the Growhio collaborative, Downtown Farmers Market was established in 2010, bringing a farmers market to Public Square for the first time in over a century. 2012 marked the third season for the market. Downtown Farmers Market accepts debit, EBT, WIC, SFFNP. "Produce Perks," a food assistance program that offers a dollar-for-dollar match (up to $10) for fresh fruits and vegetables are also available with EBT transactions. DFM is supported by partnerships with Cumberland Development and Dick Pace, Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Food Policy Coalition, Downtown Cleveland Alliance, Neighborhood Connections, The George Gund Foundation, Wholesome Wave, Growhio, The Historic Warehouse District Development Corporation, and Councilman Joe Cimperman’s Office.
